AmeriCorps Volunteer Engagement VISTA05/03/13

General Description: This full time AmeriCorps VISTA member will work alongside United Way of the Greater Seacoast staff on solutions to issues relating to Family Financial Stability, Healthy Child Development and Organizational Capacity Building. The VISTA will work primarily on recruiting & engaging community volunteers to help families increase their financial stability, to help children enter kindergarten ready to succeed, and to assist local partner nonprofits in realizing operating efficiencies. Community Ambassador04/22/13

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Community Ambassador functions as a member of the Development staff of United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley. With a team of United Way staff and volunteers, Community Ambassadors conduct, manage and monitor assigned corporate and individual solicitations as well as employee campaigns so that maximum results are achieved. The Community Ambassador is an extension of the Development staff and is responsible for supervising specific fund raising campaigns, collecting donor data and detail, and working as a team member with staff to achieve fund raising goals. Affinities and Events Intern04/10/13

The intern will assist in supporting all activities of the Development department, in particular, the day-to-day operations related to United Way’s organizational events and affinities programs: Women’s Initiative and Emerging Leaders.
